James’ background lies in financial maths and music, but James has recently become involved in explicitly Biblically-oriented research. His main research interests include chronology, onomastics, Biblical and related languages, atonement theory, and figural interpretations of the Gospels. In terms of the Tyndale House onomastics project, James’ primary role is to collect and analyse names from ANE sources, and to expose them to other scholars via an online database.
