Biography
Joseph received a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. He then completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Geoffrey Khan (Cambridge) and co-supervision of Prof. Tamar Zewi (University of Haifa). His PhD research involved the way in which exegetical aspects of the Tiberian reading tradition were reflected in medieval Judaeo-Arabic Bible commentaries. After completing his doctoral work, he spent some time contributing to a forthcoming grammar of Biblical Hebrew in Cambridge's Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies before joining Tyndale House.
Currently, Joseph is part of the Old Testament Onomastics project, where he is working on the names from the ancient city of Ugarit.
