Judges is one of the goriest books in the Bible. The horror and violence we read can be unsettling. So how are we to make sense of it?
In this talk Dr Peter J Williams gives an overview of the book of Judges and helps to set it within its wider context. He focuses in on three particular passages in the book to give worked examples of how we can approach the book and be pointed to Christ through it. He focuses on the story of Jephthah (Judges 10-12), Samson (Judges 13-16) and finally, the horror and violence in Judges 19.
