Do you enjoy working in a client facing role and providing an excellent customer service? We are looking for a pro-active, enthusiastic Operations Assistant to provide front line support to visitors and guests and to assist with day-to-day operational activity. This is a varied and interesting role, with the opportunity to build and develop new skills.
Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies and possesses one of the finest libraries for biblical research in the world. It aims to grow an international research community, to present the value of the Bible at the highest academic level, to resource the Church to understand and trust the Bible, and to promote informed attitudes to the Bible.
The role will have a particular focus on visitor hospitality, which will include welcoming and advising guests, giving inductions and ensuring the smooth running of various support services. It will involve all aspects of visitor administration, such as managing the bookings process and handling any complaints and requests. The role holder will also manage the front office and will assist with staff meetings and in-house events. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience, a professional manner and an eye for detail.
The postholder will need a good understanding of the theological nuances of different denominational groups in order to provide appropriate advice, particularly to international visitors. There is therefore an Occupational Requirement for them to be an active, practising, evangelical Christian in whole-hearted and unreserved agreement and support for the Tyndale House doctrinal basis and ethos.
If you feel this position fits your skills, personality and experience, and playing a role in fulfilling the purpose of Tyndale House appeals to you, then we would love to hear from you.
To apply, please send a CV and Cover Letter outlining your interest and suitability for the post, to Sam Bartholomew (hr@tyndalehouse.com). Please note that proof of right to work in the UK will be requested at a later stage.
